Drive-in friends and family, it is official!!
The Blue Starlite is thrilled to announce it has found it’s NEW HOME. On March 11th 2017 the Blue Starlite will open in SOUTH Austin! at 12419 Lowden Lane at the end of Manchaca Rd.

Our season will begin in March with our soft opening on the 11th, and our grand opening will be April 7th 2017!

We kick off our season with some of our favorites for our NEW Audience and we throw in some first time picks for our dedicated long standing patrons! Our Signature series Drag at the Drive-in returns March 18 at our new location as well as many new series coming in our first season at the Blue Starlite South Austin!

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!! Along with our big additions we are upgrading our signage and overall decorative designs to make our Drive-in experience even more magical. We have so many excited and big changes in store, you have to stop in to really experience it!

Where to Find Us

Our new home is on a beautiful quiet grass covered 3 acre lot, away enough from the city lights to make the only thing visible in the night our drive-in screen, but just 15 minutes from Downtown Austin. Accessible from Mopac, I35, South Congress, South 1st and yes, Manchaca! Complete with wooded picnic area, brick patio fire pit area, and a sunset to rival all past Blue Starlite Sunsets. It is a true Mini Urban Oasis, as only the Blue Starlite could create.

But Wait... There's MORE!

Along with our beautiful new mini Drive-in location, after a successful Kickstarter campaign we are debuting on opening night, real bathrooms, an expanded concession stand, new larger screen, a souped up digital projection system, and the return of our drive-in speakers!

We are also working on a innovative food trailer park that would offer local chef’s daily, weekly or monthly residencies to create amazing reimagined drive-in food fare! A rotation of culinary ideas just for the drive-in!

While we have always been BYOB, we are currently working on adding a Beer and Wine bar, offering samples from all the great local vendors around the Austin area by the end of the year. (We are currently going through the permitting process.)

And just in case that's not enough...
In the near future we also will be bringing 35 mm back to the drive-in, where 35 is meant to be! As well our Overnight Projectionists Apartment RV SUITE is now taking bookings for Drive-in guests who want to spend the night at the drive-in. Our private patio lounge party deck looks out over the entire drive-in and is also now available for booking for parties of 2 or parties of many more. It includes a 12 foot by 8 foot patio deck that connects to a small private room for setting up the ultimate drive-in food and beverage spread! They are the Drive-in equivalent of Box Seats!

FREE general admission to ALL our 35 mm showings for a year. Thats 12 movie nights from purchase date or date of FIRST EVENT. (Our 35 mm nights will happen 1 time a month on a Thursday and Friday night. (so 2 chanced each month to see the feature of the month) Gen. Admission is included with Membership, to add a car slot it is a discounted $10.
