Join us to Plant 150 Trees on Service Saturday -- September 11 at 10am
This Saturday, September 11, join the NLNA to plant 150 trees along the riverfront! This is a first-of-its-kind opportunity, thanks to a grant awarded to our neighborhood by the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, as part of our volunteer-led, 5-year plan to restore more than 6 acres of natural habitat around the river in partnership with the Friends of the Mississippi. This Saturday, come help us repopulate our riverfront with native trees! Tools, gloves, and training provided.
The full roster of this month's Service Saturday activities is:
- 9am -- North Loop litter pick-up (meet at Corner Coffee)
- 10am -- Riverfront tree planting + playground flower planting (meet at James I. Rice playground)
- 12pm -- Volunteer appreciation/social event (also at the playground)
