Joke of the month

The Mum Test

A young mum was out walking with her 5-year-old daughter. She picked something off the ground and started to put it into her mouth.

The mum took the thing away from her and asked her not to do that.

"Why?" she asked.

"Because it's been on the ground, and you don't know where it's been. It's dirty. And it probably has germs."

At this point, the daughter looked at her mum with absolute admiration and asked, "Mum, how do you know all this stuff? You are so smart."

The mum thought quickly and replied, "All mums know this stuff. It's on the Mum Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a mum."

They walked along in silence for two or three minutes, but the little girl was evidently pondering this new information.

"Oh, I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test, you have to be the dad."

"Exactly," her mum said.
