IS OUR NEW NAME!
We’re excited to announce that the North Coast Resource Conservation & Development Council has updated our name so we can continue to support local conservation actions with a new, vibrant and shortened name that captures who we are! While our legal name for government regulatory and grant purposes will by necessity be unchanged, our Fictitious Business Name will make it easier to identify us to our partners, donors, and the people we serve.
In the 18 years since we were established, our name has been a complexity that at times has confused those with whom we work. Our board members recognized this and chose to make this change so that clarity of purpose can be captured in just two words: Conservation Works.
NEW NAME, SAME COMMITMENT
In a nutshell, our name has changed, but our commitment has not. We remain dedicated to resource conservation. We will continue to perform environmental education and action with youth and our community that involves on-the-ground change and makes a real difference in pollinator protection, water conservation, climate change, and healthy sustainable communities in our rural north coast (Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake Counties). We will continue to partner with Resource Conservation Districts and other organizations to perform the work that means so much to our local community.
CELEBRATE WITH US ON EARTH DAY!
We are celebrating our name change as well as the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day this April with a Hike for Habitat at Lake Sonoma. We invite you to join our celebration and hike with us as we re-dedicate our efforts in resource conservation. Stay tuned for date and time!
We remain grateful for your support and partnership. If you have any questions about our name change and expanded mission, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
