Welcome Kathy Narum to Zone 7 Board of Directors

PLEASE NOTE: We incorrectly reported that Director Narum will serve out the remainder of former Director Sanwong's term. Per Government Code §1780 procedures for filling vacancies on the Board of Directors, newly appointed Director Narum will serve until the next general district election, which will be in June 2024. The individual elected at the June 2024 election would then serve for two years, until the completion of Director Sanwong’s original term in 2026 and could stand for re-election in the June 2026 election.

Welcome Kathy Narum to Zone 7 Board of Directors

Narum has been a Pleasanton resident for 27 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering which gives her a deeper understanding of our work. She recently finished serving 9.5 years on the Pleasanton City Council and has been a member of the Tri-Valley Water Round Table since its inception. She is also a member of the Pleasanton/Zone 7 liaison committee and of the Council Ad Hoc committee working on specific water issues including PFAS. She has represented Pleasanton on several other boards including East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) and Valley Link. Narum enjoys meeting residents and listening to issues affecting our community, which makes her a perfect addition to our Board. Director Narum was selected from a pool of 21 applications at the February 2nd special Board Meeting and was officially sworn in during the regular Board Meeting on February 15, 2023. We are looking forward to accomplishing great things together!
