Announcing OpenIDEO's Creative Confidence Challenge
How might we inspire young people to cultivate their creative confidence?
As young children, we’re all creative. We draw, sing, build, and dream. Yet somewhere along the way – due to the influence of others or our own insecurity – many of us put down these creative instincts. How might we inspire and support teens and young adults to continue nurturing their creative confidence, instead of casting it aside?
Together with IDEO, the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford and YMCA of Silicon Valley, we’re asking the OpenIDEO community to design fun, inspiring and new ways to help teenagers and young adults around the world cultivate their own creative confidence.
To kick things off, check out this video
of Tom and David Kelley introducing our challenge and head over to the Brief
to learn more. Then add your stories to the Inspiration phase
to help us all learn what creative confidence means to you.
As always, our collaborative fun is even more so when we include our friends, classmates and coworkers – we hope you'll spread the word by forwarding this email.
Here's to cultivating the creative spirit in all of us!
