Word to the Wise

This past year has certainly flown by. We have each experienced so many things during the year. We lost another precious queen in Tanisha Rosenthal. And I know several of you lost loved ones this year as well. The loss of loved ones is never easy. But God, is faithful to carry us through every situation. Seeing God manifest His Word through the things that have taken place over this year have been encouraging. We experienced our first Kingdom Summit in Dubai. We had our 7th Queens' Reprieve. We were blessed with another grandchild. I know God has done some miraculous things in each of your lives as well. Even as we reflect over the past year, I'm excited about what is to come. Each day we wake is another opportunity to fulfill what God has placed each of us here to do. Use your opportunities wisely and gratefully. Never dread a new day. Each day is a gift. As we celebrate Christmas and bring in the New Year, may each of us do whatever we do with great expectation. The best is yet to come!
Psalm 34:1 ESV
"I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth."

Speak the Word Only: Learning to speak in line with God's Word instead of speaking how we feel

It is the end of another year and so much has taken place this within this year. I would like to end the year with a lesson that help you into the new year. I am walking through this journey of life just like each of you and I am having to continue to learn and have my mind transformed by God's Word just like you.
Proverbs 26:2 KJV
"As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come"

One of the areas that has been a struggle for me is learning to speak God's Word only and not what I feel. I have had to come to the realization that I allow things to take place in my life by what I speak.
Proverbs 18:21 NLT
"The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences."

God wants to manifest the culture of His Kingdom here on earth. He works through the speaking sons of God (the body of Christ) to accomplish that. God expects our conversation to be purposeful, not idle or negative.
Matthew 6:10 BLB
"Your kingdom come. Your will be done as in heaven, so also upon earth."
Romans 8:19 KJV
"For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God."
Matthew 12:36 NLT
"And I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak."

Have you ever taken the time to really think about the words you say? Do you notice whether or not your conversation is negative or positive? Do you allow yourself to get caught up in conversations with other people that you know you should stay out of? These are all questions that I have had to ask myself.

Another thing I have had to consider is whether or not I believe the words I speak. If you believe the words you say, you would never speak about death or sickness in jest. Using words like "I don't feel good", "that's killing me" or "I am dying laughing" suggests that words are not taken seriously enough. Because we were made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis1:26), we were made to operate like God operates. God operates by speaking. We must be careful not to speak feelings because feelings change, but to speak in line with God's Word. The enemy has influenced society to the place where people say words that are the exact opposite of what they mean. God's Word is plain and lets us know that we have what we say.
Mark 11:23 NIV
"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them"

In this upcoming new year, we want to grow more and more into the image of Christ.
2 Corinthians 3:18 BSB
"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
I want to challenge each of us to consider what we are speaking in our daily lives. You may want to consider cutting off the news, social media, etc.  If you notice yourself speaking negative things when you converse with certain people, you may want to limit the time you spend in conversation with them. Another thing that will help is listening to the Word of God. I am not talking about a sermon. Listening to the actual Word of God being spoken from a Bible out loud is what I mean. If you can listen to the Bible audibly, it will definitely help you in your daily speech. Think before you speak and speak only what lines up with God's Word. If you want God's type of results in your life, speak God's Word.

I wish each of you a productive and purposeful new year. I love you and appreciate you taking the time to read this email. God bless you, have a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!

1. Has anything taken place in your life based on the words you spoke?

2. Do you know the power of your words?

3. Do you understand God's purpose for conversation?

4. Are you willing to take inventory of the conversations you engage in?
