Next Level Faith in the Kingdom:
Our Likeness to God

Greetings! We are beginning a new series this month. It is so important that we continue to grow in our faith. We need to be moving from one level of faith to another as long as we are in this earth. We should not be comfortable being stagnate in our faith.

Romans 1:17 KJV
"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

When operating with next level faith, we have to have confidence in what we say just like God does. You have to believe your own words.

Psalm 33:6 DRB
“By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the power of them by the spirit of his mouth:”

Isaiah 45:23 NLT

“I have sworn by my own name; I have spoken the truth, and I will never go back on my word: Every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess allegiance to me."

1 Kings 8:20 NHEB
“The LORD has established his word that he spoke; for I have risen up in the place of David my father, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.”

When God speaks, He doesn't question whether or not what He has said will manifest or happen.

Genesis 1:3, 7, 9, 11, 14-15, 30 BSB
“And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

“So God made the expanse and separated the waters beneath it from the waters above. And it was so.”

“And God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered into one place, so that the dry land may appear.” And it was so.”

“Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each bearing fruit with seed according to its kind.” And it was so”

“And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to distinguish between the day and the night, and to mark the seasons and days and years. And let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth.” And it was so”

“And to every beast of the earth and every bird of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth—everything that has the breath of life in it—I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.”

We have to operate with that same confidence.

The reason we can speak in faith with confidence is because we are being directed by the Spirit of God.

John 12:49 NLT
"I don't speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it."

You having an understanding of how God’s authority operates is equated with having great faith.

Matthew 8:8 KJV
“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou should come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.”

Matthew 8:8-10 BSB
“The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes; and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.”

The centurion operated with authority, so he understood the power of his words. Your speech really is determining what is taking place in your life. Use this lesson as a reminder to be purposeful in your speech and to make sure your words are full of faith.

1. Have you become comfortable being at your current level of faith?
2. Do you take everything you say seriously?

3. Do you expect what you say to take place?

4. Do you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you in your speech?

5. Do you understand how authority works?

Word to the Wise

It has been a whirlwind past month of life changing events. I pray you all had blessed holiday seasons and are pushing forward with great goals for the new year. I was blessed to see my oldest daughter married in January. It was a beautiful wedding and for me just another changing season. I always advise women that as your children grow into adulthood, you should be pursuing interests that you have so that you are able to transition into new seasons in your life. Allow God to direct you into every season you move into. He has purpose for each season of your life. Don't stay stuck in the past, but continue to push forward with new goals and aspirations. As my children grow into adults, I am excited to see what new assignments God has for my life. God bless each of you. Enjoy your current season to the fullest!
