Wild Food Adventure - 29th Februrary
Wild Food Adventure

Join us for a wild food adventure - Food foraging and bread making workshop on 29th February.
Network with other tourism, leisure & hospitality businesses, learn how to forage for wild ingredients and use them in the age old craft of bread making.

Date: Monday 29th February
Time: 10.15am arrival for a 10.30am start - day ends approx 2.45pm
Location: Parking at
Gower Heritage Centre & Meeting at The Barham Centre, Parkmill, Gower,
Cost: £5 (includes lunch)

Morning - Foraging
From the Barham Centre in Parkmill we will head to Three Cliffs Bay where you will learn how to harvest ingredients in a sustainable manner, looking at what they are & how they could be used to enhance your food.  We will return for lunch at the Gower Heritage Centre and following this we will use what we have foraged in the afternoon bread making workshop.

Afternoon - Bread Making
Perhaps you may want to serve fresh bread to your guests for breakfast OR perhaps you are a chef who would like to make your own rather than buying in OR you just fancy making fresh bread...

What to bring
  • For the foraging - A good pair of walking boots (no high heels or flip-flops).  Suitable clothes, depending on the weather, and a bag for your bounty.  (Please note, we will go even if it rains, so no excuses!)
  • For the bread making - Please bring an apron and 2 baking trays to take the breads you make home (as they will not have had the time to rise and prove)
