Hello Race Families and Triathletes!

Thank you for joining us on Sunday. It was an amazing day, and we are so proud of all the athletes that participated.

Thanks to the efforts of our racers and sponsors, we are able to grant $45,104.29 to the families being treated in the greater Alexandria, VA area. The number keeps growing as donations continue to come in. Your fundraising pages are active through the 2017 calendar year.

Thanks for making yesterday so special! Please take a couple minutes to share your feedback in this short survey. We are always looking for ways to improve and greatly appreciate your comments.

Racers, don't forget to thank your donors for their contributions and tell them how you did in the race. This is a critical final step to all your work and I am sure your supporters will be delighted to hear from you. See you next year!

Ken Caputo Volunteer Service Award

At each race we give an award to a race day volunteer that spreads enthusiasm, happiness, and a touch of goofiness to our event. This year's winner is Gilbert Amason. Below are quotes from two of the other volunteers that noticed Gilbert.

"I saw him at the Start, on the Run course and eventually on the Bike course. He was everywhere cheering the entire time. I'm sure he slept well that night." And another said, "he was with me today at the Start and was awesome with the kids lining them up and being so into it ... he just was helpful with everything from the moment he got there until the very end."

Honorable mention goes to Belle Dixon who carried a racers bike back to transition after his pedal fell off.

Thank you to all our volunteers!

The students, staff, and leadership of Episcopal High School were instrumental in creating a warm, welcoming, enthusiastic mood for our race day. We are grateful for their involvement and commitment to our cause. Look for next year's race date to be announced soon!

Lost and Found

During the race, some dropped cash was turned in to us. If you are missing it, please contact Leanne. Otherwise, we will add it to our fundraising total. Thank you.
Special thanks to A Squad Entertainment for rocking our Party Zone and the Episcopal High School for opening up their campus to us.
