What Mobile Sales Options Exist for Sage 100?

Peter Wolf (Azamba) emailed me this week asking if I had a list of add-ons for Sage 100 mobile sales.

I've had this request once or twice a year from customers and have one customer who did invest in a few solutions (xkzero and a custom solution). Below are the solutions I've dealt the most with - either through direct experience or by recommendation from my 90 Minds group members.

Some of these solutions work without an Internet connection though as I told Peter - most trade shows these days offer WiFi to attendees and exhibitors so fully disconnected capabilities don't seem a critical.

How the default printer is set for your forms in Sage 100

The default printer for each of your Sage 100 forms is set in a very specific way. In most cases, the printer is the last one used unless it's the first time a form has been printed which in that case the default Windows printer is used. The printer is saved based on both the form/report setting and the workstation name.

Here are more details:
  • Default printers for forms is stored in ..mas90\MAS_System\SY_ReportSetting.m4t
  • If a record exists for the specific report setting and specific workstation name, the printer in this record will be used
  • If the report setting does not have a record with a specific workstation name, the printer in the record without workstation name will be used.
    • After printing form, a record will be created in SY_ReportSetting.m4t containing both the report setting and the workstation name. This record will be used the next time the form is printied from the same workstation..

Sage 100 2020.4 - 2020.6 Program Fix LM6029T Resolves Auto-Logoff Issue

This fix adds a prompt to Sage 100 2020 systems so that auto logoff will allow the user to continue working in Sage 100 and reset the logoff timer.
