We are delighted that you are now part of the #AskForTraining challenge.
You have taken the first step towards finding some great training and investing in you. We are here to help you achieve your goals as a Business Support Professional.
Over the next 10 days, we will be checking in with you each day to help you to #AskForTraining, to introduce you to some great trainers by video, and to share stories with you from some fantastic Assistants who have successfully asked for training.
We will help you through the process of self-assessment, help you narrow down the type of training you need, and help you finetune the e-mail that you will send to your Manager to request the budget for this training opportunity.
We will also provide you with a handy Workbook where you can record your thoughts.
Don’t worry if you miss a day, you can access the videos and bonus items at any time on our Facebook and LinkedIn Groups or via Twitter! And, if you have any questions, you can email either Kathleen Drum, Colette Walsh or me to get can get advice and assistance.

A Daily Email
Every day, for 10 days, we will send you an email that has a new piece of information to help you on your #AskForTraining journey, and a bitesize task for you to action that day. We’ll also include links to relevant articles and websites where you can get more information.
Of course, if you don’t want to wait for the email, you can go ahead and fill out the Workbook – but it will be more fun doing it together!
A Daily Video
Every day, the email will contain a link to a video where we will either explain the task in more detail, introduce a trainer or type of training, or introduce an assistant who successfully asked for training – and got it!
These videos will be available on our YouTube channel, but to make things easier, we’ll email the link to you every day.
