Welcome to Day 5 of #AskForTraining.  We are halfway through our 10-day challenge. 

So far, we’ve identified the reasons that you need training, undertaken and analysed a self-assessment and worked out which type of training would bring the best ROI for you, your executive and your business.

Today we are going to look at you two things – learning styles and your commitment to training. 
Your learning style is quite simply how you like to take on information and you are going to be either

  • visual – in which case you take on information most easily by seeing it (think graphs, presentations, mind mapping)

  • auditory - in which case you will remember better if you are listening or taking part in discussions or shared learning

  • kinesthetic – in which case you will learn better if the learning is hands-on with lots of practical aspects and interactivity

We have tracked down an excellent quiz on which will help you to establish what your learning style is and explains more about what this means for you.

The second part of today is to think about what you will you bring to the table?  What are you willing to invest?

For example, if you have identified that an ongoing 2 hours per week, 10-week e-learning course on Communication is your top priority, have you got the time and space to make that happen?  Will you need to commit to doing this after hours at home, or is there a quiet space you can use at the office? Is that the best way for you to learn and absorb information?

And after you’ve done that, don’t forget to fill in your workbook with your learning style and what you are prepared to contribute.
