Hello!

As I'm writing to you, I'm airport-bound, on the way to home to London, looking forward to being reunited with my fabulous team! We have so much in store for you over the next year (as you'll see from our 'meet the team' section) we are just so excited! 

International Day of Charity, September 5th, is approaching, and what better way to celebrate, than to look across our own community... I'm sure you will have seen and heard us taking about our very own Admin Charity, ISIPHO Admin, but do you know what we really do to support the community? Here's our story.

Back in 2014, two of our South African colleagues, Anel Martin & Teri Wells approached us with an idea; to start a foundation. The dream was to give something back to the world by uplifting their local communities. Their goal is to tackle economic and educational problems by changing just one person’s life at a time. They aimed to provide entry to the PA profession, to those in need of an opportunity.

It took two years to set it up but Isipho Admin Bursary became a registered NPC 2015/438143/08 registered officially in South Africa on the 08/12/2015. We are not government funded but are supported by administrative professionals and training companies from around the world financially. We are a team who are committed to leaving a legacy!

Our bursary is still in its infancy but our goal is to change lives and create spectacular careers by not only funding education for deserving bursary students but to support them with mentoring, coaching and on the job training experiences.

How can YOU help? We are currently fundraising for our 2017 intake and want to fund at least double the number of students in 2017. It only costs £480 per student to train them for a year and change their life and the lives of those around them for good.

Sponsor your own student Maybe your business or your Assistant network/forum would like to sponsor your own student. This only costs £480 a year. As their only sponsor, you’ll have a special relationship with your sponsored student. You will receive regular updates from your student of what they are up to. We want to encourage a personal relationship so you can see first-hand how you are transforming their life.

We'd also like to say a huge congratulations to Sannicia Koh, who achieved a 100% distinction at ACEPA in Singapore on 15-19 August 2016. This puts Sannicia in an elite group of only 6 delegates who have achieved a 100% distinction (from nearly 1,000 who have participated in the programme globally since the course was incepted 6 years ago). ACEPA is back in Singapore on 7-11 November. 

We've picked 3 articles this week, which are centred around giving back, gaining support and reaching out, 3 basic principles which help enhance our Admin community. We've also included a number of fantastic offers and events - including some FREE training!!
