February Buy-in Party!
Beth Ilbawi and Abbie Fombellida (both Red Room parents) are hosting a lovely buy-in party. Join them for a night in España to support SLC on Tuesday, February 28th at 7pm. Enjoy Spanish wines, tapas and a flamenco show from a local professional. Buy-in parties benefit SLC's Scholarship program. Sign-up details coming soon!

Summer at SLC
Summer camp registration is open for SLC families. Register before February 10th to get priority placement. After February 10th new families will be placed.
Toddler Time: Adult/child class for 18-28 months offered on Tuesdays, 9:45-11:45
On-site for Littles: Children exiting a 2s program offered on Tues/Wed/Thurs, 9:15-11:45
On-site for Bigs: Children exiting Pre-K and Kindergarten offered Monday-Thursday, 9:15-12:15
Beach Camp: Children exiting 3s or Pre-K offered Tues/Wed/Thurs, 9:30-12:00. Children must be fully potty-trained to attend Beach camp.

Black History Month Highlight
Our classrooms are honoring Black History Month by highlighting black authors, poets, athletes, and business owners. It is important to us that SLC is a community which embraces diversity and individuality, not only in February, but every day. This blog called Here Wee Read (shared with the staff by Chrissy C.) has a wonderful book list of black authors geared toward young children. Take a look!

Staff Spotlight
Meet Lisa woods! Lisa been teaching at SLC on and off for over 20 years! Lisa says the best thing about working at SLC is being a part of a wonderful and nurturing, safe space. She loves igniting excitement, curiosity and discovery within each child and is inspired by her colleagues love and commitment to teaching. Lisa teaches in the Green 2s classroom.
