Parent/Teacher Conferences
The teachers are preparing to meet with families and share their observations of your child's development, and about their classroom curriculum. You should have received a sign up link via email last week.
Thursday, March 16th: NO SCHOOL for the Green, Rainbow, Red and Yellow Rooms.
Friday, March 17th: NO SCHOOL for Blue & Kindergarten.
*Both evening and daytime conferences are offered, and child care is provided, if needed.

We need WINE!
The upcoming Benefit (Saturday, April 15th) will once again include the Annual Wine Pull. Buy a ticket, pull a number, and win a bottle of wine!
The SLC Parent Committee is looking for donations of wine. Raid your in-laws wine cellar! Bring us the bottles you won't drink! Purchase a bottle that is on sale and donate it! We welcome all wine as long as it meets the minimum value of $25.00/bottle. *Bottles can be dropped off at SLC any time.

Staff Spotlight
Meet Isabelle Nieves! Isabelle has been part of the SLC family since 2001! Over the years she has worn many hats and taught in many of our classrooms (she is currently a Red Room 3s teacher). Isabelle loves the connections she makes with the children and their families. She loves teaching, creating and setting up the classroom with a creative curriculum that is fun and engaging. When Isabelle is not at SLC she enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, baking and long walks with friends.
Fun Fact: Isabelle is SLC's Spanish enrichment teacher and enjoys teaching the children Spanish through play, songs, stories and many interactive activities.

Evanston Firefighter Visit
Evanston Firefighter, Mick Morel visited with the Kindergarten, Blue and Rainbow Room classes today! He showed us his uniform, helmet, mask and oxygen tank so the kids know not to be scared of firefighters in case of an emergency. Mick is dad to Mila in the Rainbow Room AND he's an SLC alum!
