Teacher Appreciation Fund
With the Holiday season underway, we hope you will consider making a contribution to the SLC Teacher Appreciation Fund (TAF). The TAF was created years ago by the Governing Board on behalf of all SLC families as an anonymous and streamlined way to say “thank you” to our teachers. The TAF fund will provide Holiday and Year-End bonuses for the staff, as well as help offset the cost for a luncheon in the Spring. Boon Supply is Back
For the month of December, you can shop for sustainable living items or gifts for the upcoming holiday season and 40% of your purchase will go directly to SLC. So prepare for the holidays and the cooler temperatures and treat yourself to items like a new magazine subscription, a candle or some adorable wrapping paper!

Lunch & Learn
Are you ready to extend your child's day at school? Our Lunch & Learn program is offered to children enrolled in our 3s classes and Yellow Room from 12:00-1:30PM. Open spots are available on Wednesday and/or Thursday only. The Wednesday enrichment class is Jumpin Julie in the gym and Thursday is Music with Joel Frankel. Register here for session 2 which starts in January!

Season of Giving
This year the Yellow Room spent November collecting food items for the FPCE's Soup Kitchen. Today they delivered items to the Soup Kitchen and received a tour of the space with Barb & Kris who run the program! Thank you to the Yellow Room teachers for organizing this event and to the families for the impressive amount of donations!

Speech-Language Screenings
Evanston parent, Katie Vienot, and her team at Synapse Pediatric Therapy are offering speech and language screenings to SLC students on December 13th and 14th.
Please complete the screening permission form sent home in your child's folder prior to December 13th if you'd like your child to participate. Need an extra form or have questions? Reach out to Katie via email katie@synapsepediatrictherapy.com.
