Takoma Park PD chief selection survey; meeting Thu June 29, 7pm

Dear <<First Name>>,
since you’re from Takoma Park, we hope you know about your city's search for a new police chief. Here's what you can do.
  1. Please participate in a survey about what you’re looking for in a police chief.  (The final question asks which ward you live in; if you're not sure, consult this map or the linked street directory. )
  2. Come to the next public meeting about the police chief selection:
    June 29, 7pm
    Azalea Room
    Takoma Park Community Center
    7500 Maple Avenue
    Takoma Park, MD 20912
  3. If you’d like to make a statement at the meeting, keep it to under 3 minutes (less than one double-spaced page), and consider sharing it with us at MCCRC by sending it to mococivilrights@>

At issue are the kind of police chief and police department you want, and the process for selecting that police chief -- hopefully with plenty of community input!
To read more about it, see this blog post -- Activists weigh in on Takoma Park police chief selection process — join us online and next Thursday! -- and watch this short (1:25) video report by myMCMedia's Mitti Hicks.
