Following a moving Veterans Day evening "Stand in Solidarity" vigil at Piney Branch Elementary School in Takoma Park -- attended by at least five hundred people -- community organizers Jen Wofford, Nadine Bloch, and former Takoma Park city council member Seth Grimes have put together two followup events to convert concern about the Trump agenda into action:
- Monday, Nov 21, 6:45 pm:
HISTORIC TAKOMA, 7328 Carroll Ave, Takoma Park
- Sunday, Dec 4, 4:00 pm:
PINEY BRANCH ELEM. SCHOOL, 7510 Maple Ave, Takoma Park
Please let the organizers know you're coming at their Facebook event page. If you have an idea, bring it; we will form working groups and get started. If you have energy and a willingness to work for a a safer and healthier community, nation and planet, we look forward to meeting you. Anyone can speak, kids welcome."
