Sign up to help "Maryland Welcomes Refugees"!

MCCRC and Peace Action Montgomery are collaborating to build a network of volunteers committed to welcoming refugees — Syrian or otherwise — to our county and our state. To join that effort please sign up with “Maryland Welcomes Refugees” !

We will seek more pro-refugee resolutions like the one passed 6-0 in Takoma Park, and connect volunteers with meaningful opportunities to assist refugees and refugee agencies directly.

Send your selfie "I support REFUGEES IN MARYLAND because..." to us at md4refugees@gmail.com or mococivilrights@gmail.com.

As-salamu alaykum - peace be upon you.  In troubled times, we stand alongside our American Muslim friends with pride, determination, and affection in the face of an unjustified wave of hate and suspicion. We also salute the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR); they've fought for all our civil liberties with tenacity and grace. Their Washington DC office had to be evacuated last week when an envelope with a suspicious substance was opened.
Happy holidays from MCCRC!  May the new year bring liberty and justice and a better America for all.
Thanks for all you do!
