June Local Digital Coalition News

After the first Local Digital Coalition meeting last week, we are pleased to announce some progress and the chance to get involved in 2 of our priority projects: the extension of GOV.UK Verify to local, and improved access to DVLA data.

Discovery Event: How can DVLA and GOV.UK Verify collaborate for local

This event, supported by the Local Digital Coalition, will examine how local authority taxi licensing and parking permitting services might be improved using GOV.UK Verify and DVLA platform services. Read more and register for the London event on July 15th here, or the Bristol event on July 27th here.

Piloting GOV.UK Verify for Local

This month, the Government Digital Service announced that it will run some pilots to work out how to make its digital identity service available to local authorities. You can read the full announcement here and express your interest in being involved in the pilots here by June 28th.

We'd be grateful if you would please share this #LocalDigital news with your networks via email, Twitter and Linkedin!

Kind regards,
The Local Digital Coalition Secretariat
