This one-off online session will equip you with the skills, tools, and confidence to navigate your way successfully through high school. Get Connected for 12 - 15 yrs
DCA's successful online mentoring course returns in 2021. It provides a fun and engaging way for deaf and hard of hearing students aged 12 - 15 years to build social connections and confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Attendees will make new friends with peers across Australia, develop skills to self-advocate, and manage challenges during the 4-week course. Paddock to Plate is the ultimate foodie's tour. You'll go behind the scenes of Queen Victoria Market to discover the history, multicultural influences, and the many ways the Market has shaped Melbourne's food culture. Ready Set Drive
DCA has partnered with CRUDE Ultimate Driving Education for a one-day driver training program for deaf and hard of hearing people wanting to build and further develop their knowledge on driving a vehicle, understanding basic car maintenance, road rules, and more. Get Connected for 8 - 11 yrs
DCA is excited to launch Get Connected for 8 - 11-year-olds. The feedback received from the program we ran for 12-15-year-olds, highlighted a need to extend the course to other age ranges. Tailored to 8 - 11-year-olds, Get Connected will provide a fun and engaging way for deaf and hard of hearing students to make new friends, develop new skills, and be inspired by our deaf mentors during the 4-week course. Family Camp
No doubt you are as excited as we are that we can run our fun-filled Family Camp again. It brings together deaf and hard of hearing children of primary school age, parents, and siblings. Everyone will enjoy the wide range of activities on offer. The activities and workshops we run will build connections, communication skills, and create an opportunity to share experiences. Youth Camp
We are thrilled to launch our Youth Camp in 2021. The two-day camp will take place during the spring school holidays, and is aimed at deaf and hard of hearing secondary school students. It's a unique opportunity for students to make new friends, share experiences, enjoy physical activities, build confidence, and have a lot of fun. We will release details soon.
