Dear Friends,

Term 1 is already coming to an end with school holidays and Easter quickly approaching.
We have had a busy start to the year. During Hearing Awareness week we launched the Parent Mentor program in Victoria at the Royal Children's Hospital. Parent mentors will be able to share their experiences with parents of newly diagnosed children with hearing loss.

We have also commenced our school leaver employment service for NDIS participants with funding for Finding and Keeping a Job in their plan. Our School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) team helps people with a disability to transition from school into a job or training, preparing them for the next stage of their lives.

Our School holiday program has been released with a variety of activities to help deaf and hard of hearing children and young people access the community and make new friends.

After the school holidays Platypus Playgroup will commence. Platypus Playgroup is a playgroup for children aged 0 - 6 and has a bilingual focus.

Our 2020 Youth Grants will open in the next few weeks.

There are still some spots left for our Family Camp which will run from June 27 to June 28
