Dear Fiscotti Fan!!
I have to say, we had the best weather this summer. Under the circumstances, finding the light at the end of the tunnel these days has had its challenges for most of us. But, I refuse to get worn down as I try my best to focus on the bright side of all things...and the sun sure came through in the last few months. Most of you are connected to me on Facebook and you've seen these photos before. I apologize for the quality as it's done on my phone, but I can't help snap a whole bunch because it brings sunshine into my world. Well, they took my breath away, that's for sure!
I honestly can't believe we're into September already...do you know what this means? I know, you don't want me to bring it up, but it starts with a C and ends with an S. I won't spoil it, because I actually look forward to the anticipation of it all. And let's face it, I'd rather think about 'the thing we won't mention', then concentrate on what's happening around the world.
Now, for you 'adventure types'...the best way to take advantage of harvest season is by getting out there to pick your freshest fruits and veggies at your local markets as they are in abundance. Because I'm sure you are preserving jam, making tomato sauce, or even pickling something or another. Whatever it is, enjoy it while it lasts!! I say this because back in March, you were all heavily into baking banana bread!! LOL
