Take an opportunity to celebrate and honor your pastor, church staff, chaplains, missionaries,
and other vocational ministers this month.
There are lots of good suggestions online by simply searching “Pastor Appreciation”.
Try one or several of those idea’s to say "Thank You” to your pastors and church staff.

A word from our Mission and Stewardship Ministry Team

Mid-American Baptist pastor’s Generosity Project cohort is forming for calendar year 2022.
Pastors interested in learning more about the Project or participating in the cohort can contact
Rev. Gary Martin 515-329-6434, or Deadline for joining the 2022 cohort is
Dec. 1, 2021. The cohort will meet monthly by video conferencing for 1 ½ hours, with a
facilitator. Each participant will read four books, and the group will interact with the material from
those books. There is no cost for the pastor to participate, and the books are provided.

Attention Members of the MABC Board of Region Ministries

As we look ahead to our fall schedules I would like to make sure you save the date of Saturday, October 23 for our board meeting is now going to be completely VIRTUAL beginning at 10 am.  Board members will receive a Zoom link closer to the meeting date. For those of you who lead ministry teams plan to meet between now and then if you haven’t already scheduled a meeting. If you represent an organization, camp, or ministry team please prepare a written report and submit it to with Board Report in the subject line no later than Friday, October 8. To All Dayton Oaks Camp Volunteers 

Join us October 25-30 for our Fall Work Week at camp. We will start at 9 am each morning.  We will be cutting wood for the wood stove and tearing out old carpet & installing new carpet squares in the fireside room. There are many other small projects to help with, but those are the two biggest for the week. Let us know if you can help for a day or two or the whole week. Hope we will see you then!  Matt and Dani

You are invited to "The Prophetic Rhythm of Anti-Racism," a virtual symposium on Saturday, October 30, at 3:00PM ET. Join the ABCUSA Anti-Racism Task Force for a keynote address and Q&A with Rev. Dr. Elyse Barry, associate for Advocacy and Leadership Development for the Council of Health and Human Services Ministries of the United Church of Christ, followed by paper presentations and discussion led by select American Baptist leaders presenting on anti-racism and reparations.
