You asked for your address to be added to our mailing list, so here is your first message (another may be coming very soon, but do not think we do that all the time, the Backyard Patch Email Newsletter only comes out once a month.)

Since the Club Members seemed interested in herb recipes, I thought I would share a recipe and links to my blog with more recipes that you can enjoy.

Versatile Herb Blend
If you do not have Chervil on hand you can leave it out.  This is a combination of 1 sweet, 3 savory and 1 pungent (if you call thyme pungent.)  It is a blend of 5 herbs which can be used to flavor to
soups, stews, chicken and vegetables or any recipes you want to give a flair that will make your food have a distinctive, warm, sweet and pleasant taste and aroma.

1 part Chives
1 part Chervil
2 parts Parsley
1/2 to 1 part Thyme
1 part Marjoram

Combine the dried herbs in a jar with a tight fitting lid and shake to combine.  Use by the teaspoon or tablespoon to season just abut anything.
