Thank you for attending Growing a Tea Garden!

You asked for your address to be added to our mailing list, so here is your first message (another may be coming very soon, but do not think we do that all the time, the Backyard Patch Email Newsletter only comes out once a month.)

We had several requests for tea recipes so I have included two here and a link to more recipes on the blog. To see recipes posted on the blog click on this saved search for Herb Tea Recipes.
AROMATIC MINT TEA
     2 parts Spearmint
    1 part Marjoram
    1 part Sweet Woodruff
    1 part Sage

CALMING TEA
     1 part Lemon balm leaves
     1 part Chamomile flowers
1/2 part St Johns Wort, leaves or flowers
     1/2 part Lavender flower buds

For each recipe, blend the herbs in a container with a tight-fitting lids and shake to combine.  Use 1 to 2 tsp blend per cup of hot water and steep 7 to10 minutes before drinking.  If using fresh herbs then use 1 Tablespoon of blend per cup of hot water.  For Sun tea combine measured herbs in a coffee filer or loose in the jar, fill with water and brew in the sun for at least 6 hours.

Thank you,
