Poppy Seed Dressing can dress up your Spring Salad

I began making a Poppy Seed Dressing several years back due to popular demand.  I generally only make it in the spring and summer, but it is always a big hit.  Over the years, I have experimented with the recipe and worked on ways to make various poppy dressings with the same blend.  I have come up with four awesome versions.  Each can be made Backyard Patch Poppy Seed Dressing Herb Mix which is made with sugar, poppy seeds, dry mustard and salt.

We finally got our computer fixed, our blog up-to-date, our garden relocated, and our lecture at the Chicago Garden Show out of the way and realized it was way past time for a Newsletter. Since we are getting Spring weather (maybe??) I thought a few dressings to enjoy on your early greens might be in order.

What's Happening This Summer?

Several of the outdoor shows we normally participate in have been cancelled or moved this year (Gardenology and the Herb Fest in Hales Corners, WI.)  But we will be at the Annual Plant Sale for the Garden Club of Villa Park (Friday and Saturday,  May 12 & 13, 2017) and the Elmhurst Garden Walk (Sunday, July  9, 2017) so stop by and see us there.  You can join us for several free lectures at the Villa Park Library this summer too.
