Zone K Survey October 2014 Summary
 60 of the 125 Zone K email list subscribers responded to our October 2014 survey regarding parking meters and guest parking management. The detailed results can be found at our website, Highlights of the results:
  • On the question of installing parking meters in Zone K, 43% opposed any meter installation at this time and 19% favored waiting to see the impact of the opening and operation of Zone M. (62% â€˜no meters’ or ’wait and see’; 38% â€˜for meters in all or part of Zone K’)
  • Continuing the availability of guest permits received strong support.
  • Scratch tickets are more controversial. Several comments called for their elimination. Other comments noted their convenience for residents and value for small businesses.
  • Respondents strongly supported limiting the availability of single day scratch tickets with the goal to reduce parking congestion and cut down on abuse.
The Zone K Committee will continue to monitor and provide updates to those on the email list regarding the on-street parking environment in Zone K.
