For Dani Roach, painting is more than the art of representation, it is the art of storytelling. As poetry employs rhythm, Roach uses color and form to punctuate her compositions. The artist explains, “Many artists and writers include rituals in their studio practice. Over time and through numerous artist residencies I have developed my own habits. Poetry has been a studio companion of mine for years. Considering the parallels in poems and paintings serves as a great muse — and influenced the title of this show.” More information on this show can be found here.
