Roots and Fruits: Exploring the History and Impact of Warm

Mark you calendars for this exhibition and opening!

Opening Reception with Oral History Booths:
        Saturday November 3rd, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm

        The Catherine G. Murphy Gallery
        2004 Randolph Ave.
        St. Paul,  MN 55105

Gallery Hours:
        Monday - Friday 8 am - 8 pm
Saturday and Sunday Noon - 6 pm

As a member or friend of WARM, you understand the importance of having a feminist art organisation. Join us at the opening for an evening of art, celebration and sharing our WARM stories.

This exhibition spans both galleries of The Catherine G. Murphy Gallery at St. Catherine University. The Roots gallery combines period artworks and archival materials to trace pivotal events in the early history of the Women's Art Registry of Minnesota and the Fruits gallery explores some of the ways its members catalyzed local art movements, programs and artists. With the national feminist art movement of the 1970s as a backdrop, this show reveals the significant role of WARM in shaping the careers of women artists in Minnesota and beyond.

This exhibition was curated by Heather Carroll, local artist and archivist. Show dates: Nov 3-Dec 15, 2018
