The Freshest Work from WARM’s Newest Members- WARM Spring 5!

Our 5th annual show, in collaboration with The Show Gallery - Lowertown will include work from our 30 newest members - from installation to sculpture; spoken word to writing; 2 and 3d visual art to textiles; performance to film, and many things in between. It’s a WARM show you’ve never seen before!

The Show Gallery - Lowertown is a nonprofit art space creating radical accessibility in the arts and uniting artists of all abilities in creative community, and we are pleased to be having this year's new member show in their beautiful gallery space.

The Haggin Museum celebrates a re-examination of the Haggin Collection. For this exhibition, members of American Women Artists (AWA) were asked to create artwork that was inspired by a selection of 13 paintings from the Haggin Museum’s 19th – 20th-century art including works by William Merritt Chase, Albert Bierstadt, Rosa Bonheur, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and other notable artists. AWA artists have taken their inspiration from the work of art, the artist’s greater body of work, or the theme of the painting. This juried exhibition will include nearly 100 pieces of artwork that ranges from paintings to sculptures.  More information on this show can be found here.

UP FROM THE ASHES is about a devastating loss and need for recovery. In a studio fire, 70 years worth of artwork was lost for Marjorie. All the work in this exhibition survived the fire, as did the artist. This show represents the need for closure to the event, as well as her need to continue to express herself through her art.
