Call for Art - Coming Soon - "Hysteria"


This winter WARM members will be showing at the Larson Gallery at the University of Minnesota. Our theme will be "Hysteria". The official call will go out in the September newsletter. We look forward to seeing your creations.

There’s a “new kid” on the block, and despite its youth, is making waves - and
change - just when we need it. As one of the Twin Cities newest non-profits, Art to Change the World (ACW) is already knee deep in the development of a non-traditional exhibit, “See. Say. DO.” that includes 11 days of diverse programming from October 4-14, 2018. For a more information and a full list of programming please visit.

On Location Drawing Co-op is a group of like minded folks that like to sketch and draw at different parks and community garden around the Twin Cities for lunch and fellowship.

In August we are heading to Lake Nokomis (small beach) on the east side of the park.

Bring what you would like to create with and join us for fun and fellowship as we explore what Lake Nokomis has for us.

  • City of Golden Valley Request for Art, Winter and Spring 2019 They City of Golden Valley is currently accepting applications for art at Brookview and Golden Valley City Hall. Information and application here.
  • Artistry Presents the 42nd Annual Members’ Juried Art Exhibition in the Inez Greenberg Gallery - Artistry is pleased to announce its 42nd Annual Members’ Juried Art Exhibition, an exhibition in the Inez Greenberg Gallery featuring the work of Artistry members. The exhibition runs October 12 – November 16, 2018 and will be juried by Cassie Garner, Director of Gamut Gallery in Minneapolis. Click here for exhibition website.
  • DETOURS: Made Here open call for submissions Made Here, a project of the Trust, temporarily transforms empty storefronts and commercial spaces with art by local creatives into a walkable urban art gallery. The theme for the fall/winter Showcases is "Detours." For this round, we invite artists and artist groups to submit proposals for window Showcase displays that interpret this theme. Artists and artist groups may submit their proposals from now until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 3rd. Submissions and information.
  • Shut Down Third Street Join us in celebrating Winona arts and culture in an inaugural block party hosted by Treedome Productions and supported by the Third Space Initiative Grant featuring live music, food, local organizations, and artisan vendors. We are currently in the process of inviting potential vendors to apply and help make Shut Down Third Street happen.
  • ARTBOX Call for Art: Submit your Design for a Utility Box Wrap The call for art is open to artists and non-artists working in any medium (painters, photographers, collage artists, mosaic artists, quilters, poets, etc.) who are residents of Minnesota with preference given to those living or working in Bloomington or South Loop. information and application can be found here.

WARM Newsletter Submission Guidelines
Please submit your content for the WARM Wednesday newsletter by using the submission form on the WARM website. The next deadline for submission is Sunday, September 9th for items to be published in the September 12th Newsletter. There is only ONE newsletter published per month, so please plan accordingly. Thanks!

Members may submit one item per newsletter. If you have multiple items or a lengthy description, you may submit a single item with summaries and links to postings elsewhere. Non-members may send items to for consideration.
