Gamut Gallery - C 4 W: 2017 Exhibition
I work mostly in oils, occasionally in acrylic, on canvas and wood. My work is becoming more and more abstract, the natural world informing that abstraction.
I paint intuitively, letting the work discover itself to completion. I begin with a germ of an idea, but stay open to new directions. When color, form, and mark making create a satisfying balance, I let the work be.

The female form has been a major preoccupation of artists from all periods and cultures. For each of our four artists, the figure has been a source of inspiration and one to which they have returned to time after time. Artists represented are Klaire Pearson, Nancy Robinson, J.M. Culver, Karen Searle and Nicole Havekost. The show tries to capture the process of “figuring it out” as women artists talk about women.
