Sometimes Giving Yourself A Break Is The Best Thing You Can Do For Yourself...

Do you ever feel like it's all just too hard? That you've given it you're best shot and life, that new job or your relationship just isn't what you hoped it would be, no matter how hard you've tried? We all have these moments. And so what do we do with them?
What we've found works best is to simply acknowledge where you're at and do nothing! Stop trying to fix it...Instead take 10-30 mins (or whatever time you can find) to put your feet up on the desk, lean back a little and breathe deeply. Or get outside, take your shoes off and put your feet on the grass, really look and feel it's earthy greenness. Or boil the kettle, make a nice cuppa and have it in your favourite spot. Perhaps take a moment to look at a special photo of your kids and your spouse smiling. Look closely at that flower on the windowsill, examine its perfection. Think of the best response you can to that person who had you feeling like you wanted to curl up and die a few minutes ago. Or simply close your eyes, breathe into your heart for a few minutes....
Are you getting our drift here? When life is at it's most challenging take a step back for a few moments. Get off the tram tracks, clear your mind and just be. From this place of nurturing yourself surprising new perspectives can arise. The idea you were struggling with become clear. The energy to deal with a situation has arisen. Even the partner you wanted to strangle a few minutes before suddenly looks more like the person you fell in love with...

It's a word that generally brings up the deepest longing, the greatest fear, resistance, hopelessness or plain terror. There are not many neutral responses to it. How can we reduce the fear of intimacy and give it its rightful place- as one of the most powerful building blocks in relationship? We start with understanding a little more...  read on

When two lovers are really open to each other, when they are not afraid of each other and not hiding anything from each other, that is intimacy. When they can say each and everything without any fear that the other will be offended or hurt.… If the lover thinks the other will be offended, then the intimacy is not yet deep enough. Then it is a kind of arrangement, which can be broken by anything. But when two lovers start feeling that there is nothing to hide and everything can be said, and the trust has come to such a depth where even if you don’t say it the other is going to know, then they start becoming one.”

I Don't Think I Love Him/Her Anymore...Is it over?

It can be the scariest thought in the world. The good news is that you've had the courage to ask yourself the question.  Whilst it's buried under the busyness of life getting ignored it is still going to be informing your behaviour. If I'm not sure I love you I will stare at the TV rather than talk. Or I will not reach out for a hug when I need one. Or I will say bad things about you over and over in my head or at your back. ... Click here
