This summer, artisan chocolate shop Sweet Petite Confections will celebrate the season with a trio of summertime-themed chocolate making classes and, for a limited time, chocolate bark “flights” featuring new summer flavors. The locally owned confectionary begins its warm weather festivities in June, with bark flights available June 1 and the following class schedule:
 
Summer Berries - Saturday, June 11: At the height of strawberry season, guests will make bonbons with sweet fillers including strawberry ganache and brambleberry caramel, while using strawberries, raspberries and blueberries in inventive chocolate barks.
 
Life’s a Beach - Saturday, July 9: Bright, lively flavors like Meyer lemon fresh mint ganache and salted caramel make the perfect addition to bonbons, while tangy barks blended with candied lemon peel and Hawaiian sea salt are reminiscent of sunshine and the sea.
 
Summer of Aloha - Saturday, August 6: Enjoy playing with the flavors of paradise from the Aloha State, including toasted coconut infused ganache and passion fruit caramel, plus mango, pineapple, toasted macadamia nuts and more for chocolate barks with a tropical twist.
 
All chocolate making classes take place at 12:30 p.m. and last approximately two hours. Each class is priced at $35 per adult or parent-child team (children between 5 and 17 years with one adult). Guests leave with approximately 1.5 pounds of their own custom creations including molded chocolates (bonbons) and bark.
