Kids Free in October

Month-long program offers free admission for kids 12 and under to over 40 museums,
shining the spotlight on San Diego’s rich arts, culture and science destinations for families

Families have the ultimate incentive to head to their nearest San Diego museum this Fall: Kids Free in October, presented by the ScholarShare College Savings Plan, is back! Organized by the San Diego Museum Council (SDMC), Kids Free brings 31 days of free admission for kids (with an adult purchase) to over 40 museums. Families simply download a free voucher for each time they visit a participating museum at www.sandiegomuseumcouncil.org.

40+ PARTICIPATING MUSEUMS: Over 15,000 kids participated last year with expectations for even more in 2015. From learning about military heroes, astronauts to artists, kids get to explore unique cultural destinations and attractions. Families can choose from an array of museums to explore: San Diego Botanic Garden for a taste of the outdoors, The New Children’s Museum to tap that inner creativity, U.S.S. To take advantage of the offer, kids must be accompanied by a paid adult and present the Kids Free in October, presented by ScholarShare voucher at any one of the participating museums.
