Most of you are aware of the news about my new course,
The Joy of Parenting. This course is based off the book I authored

Key to Personal Freedom How Myths Affects our Lives.

I am honored and excited to be able to share it with each of you!

Life affords no greater responsibility, no greater privilege, than the raising of the next generation

~ C. Everrette Koop, 13th Surgeon General of the United States

The Joy of Parenting is a cutting edge parenting course designed by Susie Walton.   It is based on the culmination of over 23 years of parenting classes, parent & family coaching and personal development classes.  It is also based on my book "Key to Personal Freedom; How Myths Affect Our Family Lives."  This class is for the parent who is seeking to raise their children in a more conscious way; fostering the development of trust and respect between all family members.

People always ask me, "What's the secret to a joyful family?" Well, it's really no secret, but think about what it takes to cook your favorite dish.  Too much of one ingredient can overpower and ultimately ruin it.  Too little of another can leave the dish flavorless and unfulfilling.  But when you get the right balance of ingredients and you know when to use them, the result is a delicious, satisfying meal. When it comes to creating joyful families, each family will have its own recipe and distinct flavor.  But the one key ingredient that is absolutely essential to a joyful family is love.  Love is where joy comes from.  It's where caring, respect, and even responsibility come from.  When you learn to infuse love into everything you do, including discipline, you'll be creating the family of your dreams. The course, "The Joy of Parenting" will give you tools on how to do just that.

Some of the topics that will be covered that are prevalent in today's world:

*  The importance of taking care of yourself in order to take care of your children

*  Tools to deal with Sibling Rivalry, Bullying, and Cyber-Bullying

*  Using Screen time for the purpose of teaching self management

*  Bringing Balance to the Parent-Child Relationship

      1. Overzealous parenting

 * Knowing when 'good' is good enough

      1. Is it necessary to always 'do your best?'

      2. Kids are happiest when we see them for who they are

      3. Who a child is, has nothing to do with what they do!!

 * Start thinking Globally: What are you grateful for?

       1. Modeling what you want to teach

       2. Action steps to do with your kids

       3. Conflict resolution: a way to create peace

 *  Importance of having the Courage to be Different

       1. Allows kids to know it's okay not to "fit in"
