Hi <<First Name>>,
I'm pleased to introduce you to the new face of our Helpdesk, Jeff Mayes! I've actually known Jeff for over 22 years, and bringing him on in January was a great addition to our team! Jeff had a very long stint in support at Harvard University, where he supported areas on campus with large concentrations of Macs, such as: the Harvard University Press, The Nieman Fellowship for journalism, and Radcliffe Institute Fellowship. Additionally, harking back to his days in production, he worked in event and media support for the Graduate School of Education.
Jeff also spent years as the at the American Repertory Theater and the Huntington Theater as a Production Electrician. When not working on computers, Jeff is a faculty member for the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Center for Outdoor Learning and Leadership where he develops curriculum and teaches outdoor skills and leadership. Jeff is also a Scoutmaster and on the training team for the BSA.
Our Helpdesk is designed to provide you with an option to your Primary Call Andy! engineer for simpler issues that can easily be resolved remotely, such as:
- Backups not working
- Email problems
- Questions about how to use software
- Hard drive getting full
- Password resets
- Apple ID issues
Helpdesk is provided at a lower hourly rate and is charged in 15 minute increments. If your issue can't be resolved by Helpdesk, then it will be escalated to your Primary engineer for resolution at the engineering rate.
To reach Jeff, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (508) 650-6113 x8. In your email or voicemail, be sure to include a detailed description of the issue you are experiencing and some good times for you to work on the issue over the next 24-48 hours (or later, if you like), and Jeff will reach out as soon as possible. We're also testing an option that'll make booking time with Jeff even easier, so more about that soon!
If you have any questions about how you can utilize our Helpdesk, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly!
