Bicycle Donations

If it's bicycle related, we’ll take it! Don’t be burdened with storing that old bike, give it a new life by donating it. We refurbish used bikes and get them back on the streets - where they belong!

*We especially need kids’ bikes for our annual Kids’ Holiday Bike Giveaway, where we give away 350+ bikes to low-income kids in our area. The giveaway will be held in December.*

Donations are accepted when we are open Thursday-Sunday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.  Please be mindful that Community Cycles is in a residential neighborhood and unattended donations attract crime.  We can also pick up your bicycle donation

New Donation Dropoff Partner: REI Boulder

As our newest partner, REI will also accept parts and bikes for Community Cycles.
Donations are accepted at REI Boulder during their normal hours: Mon-Sat 9 am – 8 pm and Sun 10 am – 7 pm

Fix-A-Flat now has a $10 fee (but it includes a patch kit and tire levers). Gender Equality Mechanics (GEM, formerly WTF) is available on the last Monday of the month. Be on the lookout for wheel building and disc brake classes, which should be offered soon.  Sign up now

Bike Tips

Thinking of going tubeless? The experts at Park Tool show a complete walk-through for converting bicycle wheels and tires to a tubeless system, including preparing the components, sealing the rim with tape, and installing the valve and tire. Click here for a link to their video.
