People's Stories Matter!

Dear <<First Name>>,

When people first hear about The Biography Program they often think that what we do is tell stories. In some ways this is true, but more accurately the core of what we do is in Listening. Helping older people in the community to tell their story.

And it is the Listening that is the real privilege.

Please read on to find out where our story is at, and the amazing cast of characters supporting us along the way.

Biographer Training Dates Set

The first training program to become a biographer will start on 17th October for 8 consecutive Wednesdays in the Croydon area. If you have an interest in people's stories, are a good listener, have flexibility in time during the weekday, and a willingness to learn, then this unique and exciting role may be for you!

Interviews of prospective volunteers are now being arranged. For more information please see our flyer and website.

Support from the Lord Mayor

We welcome additional funding support from The Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation.

This will enable us more time to set up the systems that are vital in supporting volunteers, residents and our partners working in aged care.

Ray of Sunshine

We welcome Ray Cummings onto our Board of Directors to join Francis Icasiano and Jenny Kearney. Ray brings his personal experience with biography as well as his wealth of experience built over many years in the accounting sector.

Partnership with leading aged care providers

We welcome our first partnerships with two leading aged care providers in Victoria and look forward to working closely with staff and residents.
