Welcome to our 3rd e-newsletter since opening our doors in December - what an exciting month it has been! We launched our fab new range of handmade doorstops, peg bags and doll's duvet set; and our new range of Mac & Ninny bookplates and preserve gift kits are already causing a stir (they arrive 1st March). We also enjoyed our first bit of press coverage.
...well, not quite, but we were lucky enough to make two media appearances this month. The first was a feature in One Wedding's e-newsletter which is sent out to thousands of brides to be. The second in a national broadsheet no less! One of our lovely customers took the time to write about us to the 'What You Like' section of The Guardian Magazine. Lo and behold the message was printed and things have been busy ever since! Hello to all new Guardian reading newsletter subscribers.
Earlier in the month our Man's Candle was chosen for Create's Valentine showcase (they are the wonderful team that support our website). Finally, we are now featured on the fantastic home, family and lifestyle blog that is Little Stuff. The gals that write the blog know their stuff when it comes to a good product or two. A select few things from our collection will be put under their noses for review over the next few months (fingers crossed!).
A Stitch in Time
The evenings are getting lighter, the daffodils are starting to bloom and the sweet promise of Spring is in the air. Our fabulous new collection of Peg Bags and Doorstops will cheer your spirits even more. They are handmade in the most glorious fabrics from Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow range (aptly named things like Sunflower Glow and Sunflower Berry). The peg bags are selling like hot cakes and are turning the heads of even the most undomesticated souls. (I have taken to hanging mine in the kitchen to show it off even more). Our clever seamstress Charly is busy making more. Both the peg bags and doorstops would make fantastic gifts for Mothers Day.
We also introduced our gorgeous new Doll's duvet set to The Wise House this month. The pink gingham with added bow detail make this a really special gift for any little one who loves playing house with their dolls and teddies. The photo on the right features Fred, my mum's old teddy bear. My mum said she never imagined she would see Fred on the 'big screen'.
If you love it, label it
We are bowled over to be one of the first stockists of Mac & Ninny's new beautiful range of Bookplates (smart labels for your fave books) and Preserve gift kits (turn your handmade preserves into beautiful gifts). There has been a really buzz around these with the approach of Mothers Day as they make such special and unique gifts.
As an introductory offer the bookplates are priced at £4.25 per pack of 12 (normal price £4.95) and the gift preserve kits are £5.50 per pack of 12 (normal price £6.50) until Friday 9th March. You can order from today through the website as normal or by e-mailing email@example.com if you live in the Hampton or Colchester area. Stock is due to arrive 1st March so first dispatch will be 2nd March for all pre-orders.
Don't forget to check out our Gift Picks For Her for more Mothers Day ideas. A huge thank you to everyone who ordered this month and received their brown paper packages tied up with string,
Guvnor of The Wise House
