One more day until Spring! Here in Pittsburgh we’re getting an early start, and the sun and mild temperatures (along with vaccines) seem to be helping the communal state of mind. Sure helping mine.
Some fun things coming up. I’ll be sharing the streaming stage with Katie Dahl from Wisconsin on Thursday, March 25,
and I’m going to take the opportunity to play some Wisconsin/Midwest-oriented songs from my catalogue, including Rock County Line, Black Earth, Question of Style and Hard to Imagine, plus a song about a Wisconsin Vietnam vet—A Heart in Razor Wire—from my new album. I’ll also throw in a new bilingual celtic-flavored song called A Morning in Gaspé / Un matin au Gaspé, just because I can.
Katie writes songs rooted in the ups and downs of small-town lives that make you want to know them, and Katie too. She also plays and sings beautifully. We met at regional folk conferences and look forward to swapping songs and stories. Here are the details:
