LCC Church Family,

“I can see a light that is coming for the heart that holds on. There will be an end to these struggles but until that day comes. Still I will praise you.” We sang those lyrics from homes last Sunday as we streamed our service online. They speak of a future reality after this life. I’m also singing them in the present reality that there will be an end to this specific challenge we are facing together now.

My heart is with you all as your lives adapt to changes at work, school, and home. I think we are all figuring out how to live in this time when things that were familiar are now gone. I was talking with some of our staff this morning. We miss the physical presence of people in our lives. We were made for it. Online is just not the same, though we are happy to have it! We long to be together physically as a body in one place. That time will come. Hold on to Him during this time. As David wrote in one of his trials,

But I trust in you, Lord;
    I say, “You are my God.”
My times are in your hands.
(Psalm 31: 14-15a)

Some quick updates:

As you know, the governor continues to encourage us to limit contact with others as this virus increasingly spreads. All activities in the LCC building have been cancelled until further notice. We will continue to meet online. Our service will be streamed on Sunday at 10am. You can connect to that here.

We have encouraged our cell leaders to meet online with their groups before or after the service and/or for cell group during the week. It’s important to be together, even if only for a short time. We have been using a platform called to meet.  Check in with your cell leader for more info. Each group will have to navigate the best way to connect. If you don’t have a group, you can contact

I’m hearing of some great ways people are connecting to share and provide for resources during this time. If you have a need, anything we can pray for, or know of a place we can help, please fill out the connect form here. It only takes a second.

Our God is a God of hope. We will get through this. Let’s embrace this unique time and the opportunities that come with it. After this is over, I think many of us will have a new way of approaching life with Jesus and others. I know I will. We’ll see you Sunday morning online.

In Christ,
