Join our preschool community!

Along with our amazing teachers and the guidance of Edmonds College, co-op parents run our preschool! While working together, we create a fun and stimulating learning environment for our children. We create friendships that help sustain and support us through the trials of parenting preschoolers. Learn about our member responsibilities here.

Covid19 in the Fall

We are planning to provide in-person preschool, but the SCP board must work collaboratively with many groups to determine our fall program as we get closer to September.

  • Snohomish Health District

  • Edmonds College & insurance provider

  • Teacher & member comfort levels

  • Lease negotiations for shared spaces

The SCP board has worked hard this year to keep communication flowing with our membership about all covid-19 planning. We are proud of the work we did to put together a robust remote program. We have learned a lot from our in-person, outdoor playgroups about covid safety procedures. We’re excited to build a great program for the fall.

It is possible we will have to begin the year in a hybrid or remote model, but we are planning to be in the classroom. If there are significant changes to our fall program the board will revisit tuition and fees as needed. When we are in-person, we will be following all health district and Edmonds College safety guidelines which may include face masks (adults and children), more outdoor time, extra sanitizing (remember parents clean at co-op!) and more.

Meet the teachers!

Teacher Julie

Julie is our 2’s and 3’s class teacher. She is a crafter and a planner and it shows in her lovingly prepared take-home projects. The kids have been tracing, spray painting, mixing colors, learning about the water cycle, transparency, echolocation and so much more! Julie was a co-op mom herself at Mill Creek Cooperative Preschool for five years. She’s pursuing her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. We’re so glad to have her at SCP.

Teacher Ashley

Ashley is our Pre-K class teacher. She's silly and caring, and the children love sharing their home life and their accomplishments with her. Ashley is finding creative ways to teach social-emotional learning, letter writing, and storytelling virtually. She even brought out the puppets last week! Ashley’s a veteran SCP parent, board member, and now teacher. We love having her at SCP.

Enjoy a story with Teacher Ashley!
