The New 'Not' Normal

Are you feeling sick of social media?
Are you fed up with video conference calls on Zoom?
Or are you avoiding screen time because of your mental health?

A lot of people are now. 

We are finding less people are joining in with our Facebook Live and Zoom sessions now. And we're not alone. Apparently even fitness coach, Joe Wicks, popular YouTube workout videos are receiving less views now than they received at the beginning of the UK lockdown. On social media I have seen virtual art gallery viewings, art classes, mindfulness classes and yoga; not to mention all the DJ's and musicians live streaming every day. But I haven't got the mental energy to watch any of them. 

So we would like to ask, why don't you come to our online sessions anymore?

Is it just because you're sick of the internet, or is it because we could, or should be offering something different? Something shorter? Or something that's not online at all? Please hit reply and let us know.

However, if you haven't tried it yet, please do join us at a Facebook live event.  If you don't do Facebook you can join our group on Zoom with a smart phone or computer. I wrote a mini guide for you here: How to Join us on Video Chat. 

If you would be more comfortable watching without joining in, we're recording all of our classes and you can watch them anytime. View Art Club on Demand.

Meanwhile, off the internet we are planning some small socially distant meet-ups for when it is safe to do so, and we are creating a mindful art activity book for you to use at home. 

Check out the links to our blog below to read what we have been up to during May and June. If there's anything you'd like to see coming up in our online art groups, just hit reply and let us know. We are always looking for new ways to improve Mindful Art Club.

And finally, if you have been coming to the online art groups, keep coming! To continue doing art and mindfulness, and chat to you has been fun. A special thanks to those who have donated to Mindful Art Club. We appreciate you may not have much money as so many of us aren't working. The art clubs are free, but the donations really help. Thank you.
