Leopardâ€™s Leap Family Vineyard, together with Opulent Living Experiences, is set to present a special fundraising lunch in aid of the Cape Leopard Trustâ€™s 10th anniversary. Launched in 2004, The Cape Leopard Trust is a conservation group with research projects which concentrate on Cape leopards as well as on other predators, including caracal and black eagle.
The culinary event features celebrity chefs as well as MCs. â€˜Three chefs that will each prepare one dish on the day â€“ Neil Jewell (Bread and Wine, MÃ´reson), Vanessa Marx (Dear Me) andPieter de Jager who will be right at home in his own kitchen â€“ will prepare a relaxed family-style lunch together with three celebrities (to be announced) joining them in the kitchen. Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp and Ian Bredenkamp will lead guests through the afternoonâ€™s proceedingsâ€™.
A donation of R1 500 per person guarantees entry to the event. The Cape Leopard Trust will receive 100% of the proceeds as well as the money raised via an auction on the day.

FWV attends First-aid training
FWV staff attended a Basic First Aid and Life Support Training held in the Dwarsrivier Valley on 21st-23rd July 2014. The purpose of this learning programme was to equip learners with the necessary skills to assess an emergency situation and provide basic Life Support and Basic First Aid in order to stabilize casualties before the transfer to emergency services. The course was made up on time spent in formal facilitation, practicals, self-study, as well as formative and summative assessments.
The training was made possible by Cape Winelands District Municipality and 17 learners from the Greater Stellenbosch area were able attended.
