Creative Many Releases 2018  Report

Creative Many has released the 2018 Creative State Michigan Non Profit Report, using FY15 data from 410 arts and culture non profits, which represent only 16% of the sector.
  • Arts & cultural destinations generated 12.6% of Michigan’s Leisure Travel spending in 2016, or $1.3 billion dollars in direct tourism.
  • 4.1 million schoolchildren experienced arts and cultural venues and events — a 14% increase over the prior year.
  • The 410 non profits surveyed welcomed over 17 million people to their events in FY15- and a total of 76% of visits to these institutions were free.

About the Potter Center:

The George E. Potter Center, located on the main campus of Jackson College, is comprised of the most versatile and complete performing arts complex in the area.  The Harold Sheffer Music Hall seats 1,500 patrons and has exceptional acoustics and visibility that provides our audience with a superior musical experience. With our diverse performing arts programming, our goal is to add meaning, scope and cultural enrichment in the lives of our students and community members.
