Michigan Humanities Council Grant Deadlines

Spring 2018 Grants (Awards made in June 2018)
  • December – February: Draft project proposals accepted and feedback provided
  • March 15: Final online grant application deadline

Fall 2018 Grants (Awards made in November 2018)

  • March-July: Draft project proposals accepted and feedback provided
  • August 16: Final online grant application deadline

MCACA FY 19 Grant Workshops and Deadlines

From March 19-March 29, MCACA will be holding a series of workshops around the state for it's FY19 grant program. See all the dates and locations here.
  • Application deadline is June 1, 2018 for the following grants: Operational support grants, project support grants, capital improvement program, arts in education program.
     
  • Application deadline is August 3, 2018 for the Minigrant Arts Program.

The Berman Center for the Performing Arts

Location: Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit, West Bloomfield, MI
 

Mission Statement: The Berman Center for the Performing Arts engages the community by producing and presenting an eclectic variety of world-class entertainment and showcasing The Jewish Community Center’s exceptional events for all audiences of Metro Detroit.
 

Programming: The Berman presents music, theatre, dance, spectacle, lectures, stage to screen events and films while producing up to three plays a year with its community theatre program and offers workshops throughout the year for all arts programs.  We also host a Jewish music festival, Jewish book fair and Jewish film festival as well as many other events for the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit.

About the Berman Center:

The Berman is in its 7th season.  Built in 2011 with the dream of becoming a world-class center for the performing arts at the JCC of Metro Detroit, we have done just that.  The Berman hosts 200 events per year, from meetings to community theatre to stars of stage and screen, The Berman has become a part of the community of West Bloomfield in 7 years and strives to continue to be a source of pride and community for arts consumers.
