WINTER SOLSTICE FESTIVAL SATURDAY JUNE 23RD, 10.30am-10pm
The Winter Solstice Festival is only 3 weeks away! Tickets are selling fast and the Farm is buzzing with excitement as we start prepping everything to bring you another awesome event. The program has been released and has something for everyone! Check out THE WINTER SOLSTICE FESTIVAL PROGRAM. Be sure to like us on Facebook, to keep up-to-date with information.
We’re also busy working on being a zero waste festival. We know we can’t do this without your support and willingness to be a conscious festival goer. So please get set to BYO a #zerowastekit, decked out with a plate and/or bowl, cup, cutlery and whatever else your heart (and stomach) will desire for the day’s gastronomic pleasures.
If you have any spare coffee mugs, plates, bowls or cutlery that you'd be willing to donate to the Farm for use at the Markets and our Solstice events, we'd be super grateful. Please drop them to us at the Nursery or Market Shed (behind Laurent the pie guy) on a Sunday morning.
Thanks to those of you who have signed up to be one of our awesome volunteers this year. The event is made by the great volunteer team we attract each year. If you’ve not signed up yet, but still want to be part of the action, then please fill out our volunteer application form. It’s short and sweet. Just 3 hours of your time in exchange for your ticket and a free meal at the event. Bargain! So come join us for all the fun as a vollie and help us make Winter Solstice Festival 2018 an event to remember for all the right reasons.
A reminder that pre-sale tickets are cheaper than those at the door.

Earth Kids Volunteer Call out!
We are looking for a couple of volunteers for the July Earth Kids, running from July 10th - 12th. There are a couple of discounted places available for children whose parents volunteer. Non-parent volunteers require a Blue Card. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Emma at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have a great FREE presentation with Dan Palmer on Growing Permaculture in June and screening of the Stingray Sisters in July.
As we journey towards mid winter, it is a great time to be grateful and give thanks for what sustains you in life, to manifest strong intentions for the next sun cycle and to let go of anything that no longer serves you. You can bring these affirmations to burn in the bonfire at the Winter Solstice event.
Thanks around the Farm last month
Gracias to everyone who helped us thank farmers throughout May, especially those people who were happy to be photographed with our signs.
Mercie to everyone who came to our plant sale. It's wonderful to know there will be lots of busy gardening bees happening.
Danke to all the volunteers who have helped us create a bamboo and recycled iron roof over our cob ovens, which will be fired for Winter Solstice pizzas.
Domo arigato to all the students who come and do research on the farm into sustainable practices. This month there will be monitoring for pesticide resistant crops and garden pests.
And thank you to all the people who came to our markets, visited the nursery, attended a workshop, volunteered at the Farm and to the staff who work because they care for the earth, people and for what is fair.
This month we look forward to seeing you, your friends and family at the Winter Solstice.
